Hilary joined the firm in 2016 after articling exclusively in the areas of family and child protection law with Legal Aid Manitoba. She has experience in a wide range of family law processes, including Collaborative practice, mediation and litigation.

Hilary works to empower clients to make informed decisions tailored to their needs and best interests, and those of their family. With her help, she hopes that all of her clients can feel less stressed and more in control of their family law matter. Hilary identifies options and proposes solutions to help her clients restructure their families in the most cost-effective way possible.

Hilary is a member of the Canadian & Manitoba Bar Associations, Collaborative Practice Manitoba and is the former Chair of the Manitoba Bar Association – Young Lawyers’ Section. In recent years, Hilary has enjoyed coaching University of Manitoba law students in Canadian family law negotiation and appellate advocacy moot competitions.

Hilary is active in the community and volunteers with various organizations including the Legal Help Centre and the Fort Garry Women’s Resource Centre. Outside of work, Hilary enjoys playing basketball, chasing after her little one and trying to finish a book on time for her book club.
